About Offroad Diesel Tracker
Offroad Diesel Tracker is a free map of places in the United States that sell off-road diesel: the red-dyed, tax-exempt fuel used in farm equipment, construction machinery, generators and some boats. Search a city or ZIP code, or let your phone share its location, to find the nearest one.
Dyed diesel is for off-road use only. Using it in a vehicle driven on public roads is illegal and can lead to large fines. Always confirm availability, price and hours with the seller before you travel.
Where the locations come from
- OpenStreetMap. Fuel stations that OpenStreetMap volunteers have tagged as selling tax-free, dyed or off-road diesel. Data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL).
- All The Places. Brand store-locator data published by the All The Places project under the CC0 public-domain dedication, for brands whose locators list off-road diesel.
- People like you. Visitors suggest new locations, report prices and confirm that a place still sells off-road diesel. Every new location and price is reviewed before it appears.
Open data is refreshed weekly. Locations that disappear from their source are flagged for review rather than removed straight away.
What the map shows
- Retail pump
- A public pump you can drive up to and pay at.
- Cardlock / fleet only
- An unattended fueling site that needs a fleet or cardlock account.
- Marina fuel dock
- A fuel dock for boats.
- Bulk delivery only
- A supplier that delivers to your farm, site or tank rather than selling at a pump.
- Other / restricted
- Restricted or unusual access. Check the notes on the listing.
The map and the results list show the same information, so you can use whichever works best for you, including with a keyboard or screen reader.
Help improve it

You can also improve OpenStreetMap directly by adding fuel:taxfree_diesel=yes to a fuel station, and it will appear here after the next refresh.
Privacy
- No accounts, no ads and no tracking cookies.
- Your GPS location stays on your device. It is only used in your browser to sort results by distance. If you use your location to place a pin when suggesting a new site, those coordinates are sent with your suggestion and to look up the street address.
- To stop spam, we store a scrambled one-way fingerprint of your IP address with each report, never the address itself.
- Place searches are looked up through OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service. Map images load from OpenStreetMap's tile servers.
